The difference between the yellow Shea butter and the ivory Shea butter
The difference between the yellow Shea butter and the ivory Shea butter is in how the Shea butter is processed. For the yellow Shea butter, the root from the Borututu tree is added to the Shea butter during the milling process to give it the distinct yellow tint which looks like turmeric. Both types of Shea butter come from the same Karite or Shea tree and have the same properties that Shea butter has. The root of Borututu tree is rich in antioxidants and is known for its cleansing and detoxifying properties. It is a matter of choice on which type of Shea butter you prefer.
